All Place Corps participants are accepted into Place Corps equally. Our program has a cost. On average that cost equates to about 30k a participant for the ten-months, or about 3k a month. This cost includes: salaries for educators, lunches, materials, rent, administrative costs, a month-long farm residency, stipends and awards, plus much more. We ask all participants and families to contribute to the cost when possible. We have created an equitable cost share model that acknowledges that costs should be shared in ways that redistribute capital equitably and ensures that those with financial need can be served by philanthropy. Our model is a model of trust and reciprocity. As an organization we don’t determine what participants contribute we empower and entrust our participants and their families with that decision. We are working as an organization to offer transformational learning that begins with ensuring access aligned with our values.
