How Things Add Up

Our Financial Accountability

Our funding model is a long term investment in sustainable and joyful livelihoods for all, with generational impact evident decades after first seeds are planted.

We believe that it is our community responsibility to support the development of our shared future; however, we recognize that our localized communities have not grown in equitable ways due to histories of oppression and extraction. Place Corps’ financial models ensure all participants have equitable access to attend. For these reasons a community learning program should be financially supported in ways that act to reharmonize a place.

Each unique Place Corps program develops a funding model that is determined by that specific location's resources and needs, as illustrated below:

A:

Diverse Revenue

Place A is representative of a place with a diverse economy. The cost is dispersed between multiple sources of capital.

B:

Tuition Revenue

Place B is representative of a place with high private wealth. The cost is supported primarily by tuition.

C: Philanthropy Revenue

Place C is representative of a place with high demographics under poverty lines. The cost is primarily supported through philanthopy.
