on ancestry, racism, anti-semitisim, & connecting to source
After participating in a training at Soul Fire Farm last week (called Uprooting Racism in the Food System), reading about the power of love with bell hooks, listening to the wisdom offered at the Racism & Anti-semitism Conference at Bard’s Hannah Arendt Center, honoring the Jewish Holidays with a radical/queer/anti-oppressive group of young folks in Massachusetts, and infusing the past few days with the teachings of andrienne maree brown… I am deep in thought, reflection, and action about I can integrate anti-racist/decolonizing work in my own mind, immediate communities, and goals/plans/visions for my life.
I’m very grateful and humbled to share a conversation with Jordan Williams to reflect and integrate all of wisdom that has been shared over these past few days :)
I’d also like to share much gratitude to all of the educators, activists, facilitators, scholars, and artists who have shared their teachings and stories with me in these experiences, especially the folks of color taking their time to educate white people.
