Sarah Barnett, board member

Sarah Barnett is recognized as a transformative media executive driving organizational advancement through smart content strategy and operational innovation.  She started out at the BBC in London working in radio then television. Since moving to the US in 2001 she has helmed tv networks - Sundance TV, BBC America, AMC and IFC - as well as run AMC studios. Her leadership approach includes a deep understanding of the central role content and institutional purpose play in achieving success in organizations.

Sarah has been featured in The New York Times Corner Office column and profiled in a many trade and consumer facing publications including The Atlantic, Variety and LA Times. She has been included multiple times in The Hollywood Reporter’s Women in Entertainment Power 100 List, Variety Women’s Impact Report and Gotham Power List and has been named as a NTWFT Muse recipient, a Woman in Cable Television Woman of the Year, an Adweek Woman Trailblazer along with many other recognitions. 

Sarah lives in Germantown, NY with her husband and dog, all three of them love the mountains and wonderful community of upstate.
