Fees and Payment
Program Tuition is $26,000.00 (but the true cost of the residential Regenerative Design Fellowship at Hawthorne Valley is $48,000.00 per fellow). The real program cost is more than 20% lower than the national boarding school average while offering transformational learning and living through embodied experiential education delivered by exceptional facilitators on a personalized scale. We believe in the power of education to create radical and necessary changes for good, and see learning as a valuable gift. Place Corps and Hawthorne Valley Association works to ensure accepted applicants can attend without financial barrier through fundraising to offer a lower tuition. We also offer BIPOC scholarships, financial aid, and flexible payment plans. Spaces will be reserved upon receipt of both application form and a 10% deposit.

What’s Included
The fee includes registration and tuition fees, all art, farming, and building class supplies, use of studio equipment, field trip transportation, conferences and trainings, and the 5-day camping trip with meals.
What’s Not Included
Personal transportation, books, personal project expenses, insurance, college credit course fees.
Availability
Spaces are limited to 8 residents per year. Registrations are processed in the order received. Late applicants may reserve a spot on the waiting list with a fully refundable $150 deposit.
Scholarships & Financial Aid
Currently we provide BIPOC scholarship and financial aid for residents to attend the Regenerative Design Fellowship. In 2019 87.5% of residents received Financial Aid, the average scholarship award was 52.36% of the total program costs. Contact us at: info@placecorps.org to learn more and for an application.
Payment Methods
All payments must be made in USD dollars. Payment can be made by wire transfer, Visa/ or MasterCard or check. Once we have received your application form, the person responsible for payment will receive an email with detailed instructions.
Age: Regenerative Design Fellowship is for people aged 21 to 34.
*If you feel like this program suits you and you are outside of this age range we welcome letters of petition.
Refund Policy
Once the program has started, no refunds are granted for early voluntary withdrawal, absences or behavioral dismissals (decisions which are at the sole discretion of Place Corps). In the event that a cohort is cancelled by Place Corps for whatever reason, all fees will be refunded.
* Place Corps will honor a full refund until the program start date for any Covid-19 related cancellations such as illness, inability to travel, or unforeseen circumstances supported with documentation.
Medical Insurance
Medical insurance is not included in the program fee. All residents must have medical insurance prior to their arrival at Place Corps.
Travel to and from Place Corps
Travel is not included in the fee. Fellows should plan to provide means of personal transportation. Fellows arriving without a personal vehicle can bring a bike to use as personal transportation between the Hawthorne Valley Campus, Farm, and Farm Store which is 1 mile away from the Place Corps Homestead and learning campus. Past residents have found their experience strengthened by having a vehicle. Place Corps encourages fellows and residents to create shared vehicle arrangements that honor sharing costs while lowering the carbon footprint.
