“It is the people behind Place Corps that initially drew me in to the work, but the intellectually and emotionally thoughtful, impactful, program that made me want to be involved in the organization. As a New Yorker, I am keen to support work that serves my community. I have seen firsthand the transformative power of a gap year in a student’s life. I am confident that the richness of the Place Corps program will not only change the trajectory of the gap year students’ lives, but will also have positive impacts on the communities they touch thereafter!”
